PRODUCTION: We use computers to help transcribe our books into braille and embossers to print them. All books (except the board books) are then bound using plastic combs and covers. READING/INTEREST LEVELS: Approximate age ranges have been listed for each book, but please keep in mind that older children (and even adults) will enjoy these stories too! RETURNS: Please call before returning items. Seedlings is a small nonprofit organization. If we have made an error, we will fix it right away, but it is difficult for us to bear the costs involved in other returns. SHIPPING: Our braille materials are usually shipped "Free Matter for the Blind" for no charge. However, people in the Continental US may select UPS for a charge of 15 percent ($7.50 minimum). "Free Matter" often takes 1 to 3 weeks in the US and about 4 to 8 weeks to foreign destinations, and it cannot be traced. CATALOG SECTIONS: 1. UNCONTRACTED PRINT-BRAILLE-AND-PICTURE BOOKS: Uncontracted (or Grade One) Braille is the simplest form of Braille. It consists of a symbol for each letter of the alphabet and a few for punctuation. The books in this section are in Uncontracted Braille. Most of the rest of the books in this catalog are in Contracted (or Grade Two) Braille. 2. CONTRACTED PRINT-BRAILLE-AND-PICTURE BOOKS: Toddler and pre-school picture books with the contracted braille added to each page using clear plastic strips. A great way to introduce books and braille to children and a wonderful way for blind adults to read with children! 3. ENGLISH/SPANISH PRINT-AND-BRAILLE BOOKS: Same as above with English, Spanish, and Braille. 4. UNCONTRACTED PRINT-AND-BRAILLE BOOKS: Easy-readers with the uncontracted braille just below each line of corresponding print (no pictures). 5. CONTRACTED PRINT-AND-BRAILLE EASY READERS: Easy-readers with the contracted braille just below each line of corresponding print (no pictures). 6.
