5I consider Andrew Clements a master of storytelling! This little book is packed full of music and literary analogies. His simplistic yet profound way of writing appeals to a wide variety of ages.

5This is the second book in a series, and the two main characters--Bobby and Alicia--return, but this time in more supporting roles. Gwen allows readers to get a glimpse of just how much commitment it takes to pursue a music degree. The on-going discussions of how to deal with nerves when performing would be helpful to any musician of any age. Once again, the author allows Alicia, a blind character, to be seen as a complex person who has valuable things to contribute. Bravo to the author once again!
