5What a GREAT book! I can't believe I never read it as a kid! You're warned, however, that tissues, crying towels, etc. will probably be necessary; I can't remember the last time I cried so much over a book, not even Harry Potter! I don't suppose I should say too much since people frequently get upset over "spoilers," but it's basically about an inner-city kid who's "going bad" but who meets, and helps, a ragged, injured, one-eyed cat.
