My daughter has loved this book from about 9MO on. Now at almost 2, it is still a favorite and she has it nearly memorized. When she was young I skipped the "Elmo didn't say" parts because she didn't really get the concept. We've only just added that back in recently.
Funny story... if I let her finish the sentences as I read, she ends them all correctly except for one. The sentence "Elmo says tap your..." She says "cane" instead of "toes." And I love it! We're keeping our version. :D
